Emily Judisch-Director
Emily earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Northern Illinois University in 2015. She has over fifteen years of experience in child care and education, working with various populations such as at-risk youth, children with special needs, and LGBTQ youth. Working with groups of people who need advocates has always been a passion for her.
In 2023 her daughter, Winnie, was born and officially diagnosed with Down syndrome a week later. Emily and her husband, Jake, received a basket from NADS and a welcoming text from a Parent Support Volunteer. She appreciated the welcome to the Down syndrome community so much, she quickly became a Parent Support Volunteer, as well. Emily, Jake, and Winnie have attended many NADS events together, including Family Meet Ups, Brew Crew, and Bowling. She even helped coordinate a Brew Crew event in DeKalb, near where she lives.
Emily is excited to be on the NADS Board of Directors and hopes her contributions will benefit this wonderful organization and the Down syndrome community.
