The Adult Down Syndrome Center (ADSC) was born of a collaboration between NADS and Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. The ADSC is one of the few clinics in the world devoted to adolescents and adults with Down syndrome and remains unique in its interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
Since the Center was founded in 1992, staff members have seen thousands of teens and adults with Down syndrome, ranging in age from 12 to 84. As the reputation of the Center has grown, the demand for its services has also grown. The Center also gets many calls from families across the United States, though at the moment it does not have the resources to take on new out-of-state patients.
